What Is GDPR?
General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR, is a data protection and privacy law in the E.U., European Union, that covers all individuals from the E.U. and the European Economic Area, EEA. GDPR gives individuals the power to control their personal data and simplifies the regulatory environment of international business. Through this law, any processor of personal data must be transparent about any data collection, the purpose behind the collection and processing, how long the data will be retained, and if it will be shared with any third parties or outside of the EEA. These protections allow citizens to give informed consent, that can be revoked at any time, or deny consent.
