DaaS Defined

DaaS stands for data as a service. It is related to SaaS, software as a service, but is different in that it focuses on data being provided on demand. This service helps organizations rapidly take in large amounts of data, integrate data, analyze data, and publish data in real time. In order to help do this, DaaS centralizes and enriches the data so it can be used by different systems, applications, users, and businesses no matter where they are. Overall, it improves data-quality, cost effectiveness, and agility. One drawback of DaaS data is that it is sometimes not available for download, it can only be used to create a graph or perform an analysis on the service provider’s server.

In Data Defined, we help make the complex world of data more accessible by explaining some of the most complex aspects of the field.
